What is Women Making Art?

We know women make great art, but who is exhibiting their work?

Women Making Art is a living archive of exhibitions by women artists.

It’s a space dedicated to visibility, documentation, and amplifying work that might otherwise go unseen.

As part of my curatorial practice, I visit shows, speak with artists, and write about the work they produce.

My aim is to bridge the gap between the fleeting experience of a gallery visit and the longer arc of cultural memory — not as a critic, but as someone who believes in making space for women’s work, and in the importance of archiving what might otherwise be lost.

The world has overlooked so many talented women for far too long. By documenting these exhibitions and the women behind them, I want to do my part to ensure their work is recognised, remembered, and recorded as part of our collective history.

I hope to inspire more women to take up space, create boldly, and know their work matters.
